The Annotated M.I.N.T. series continues. Thanks to Ed Marlo and Wesley James, M.I.N.T III, IV, V, VI, and Annotated M.I.N.T. 1963 and 1964 are already available. Additionally, “A Problem Posed” and “As an Opener” greatly expanded the options for the “Spectator Cuts The Aces” plot, and “Cards and Coins” and “Impromptu Cards and Coins” moved the fraternity closer to an ideal solution. Marlo’s two articles on the “Incomplete Faro” (1/65 and 2/65) firmly established the powerful technique in the arsenal of card workers. In Marlo’s 1965 material, you will find innovative and ground-breaking plots, sleights, and subtleties, that have been largely unavailable since the run of the New Tops ended, notwithstanding the flat text of L & L’s MINT I and II. If those books had been sufficient, Ed’s material would already be far better understood and in wider use. Thus, after completing the task of fulfilling Ed Marlo’s expressed wishes with M.I.N.T III – VI, keeping Eddie’s material available “for the guys,” now, Wesley brings his insights to Ed Marlo’s earlier New Tops articles.
